Jav, Service User Involvement Lead at Cygnet Bierley wins Innovation for the Future, Game Changer Award in Cygnet Staff Achievement Awards 2024.

Javaid Razzaq, the Service User and Engagement Lead at Cygnet Hospital Bierley, won the Innovation for the Future; Game Changer Award. He said: “This was an amazing feeling and I am so overwhelmed, I have always worked hard and have never expected anything in return, being recognised and winning is unbelievable.”

“This shows you should never give up and always work hard, if you work from the heart, the rewards and recognition will always find you and I truly believe this. The staff achievement awards show how Cygnet appreciates staff and rewards staff for the fantastic work they are doing. The awards also give staff a chance to recognise each other and celebrate all the hard work they are doing. It was amazing to be a part of this day and I hope to be again next year.”

The nomination said: “Jav’s development of the Social Hub at Cygnet Hospital Bierley – which has been replicated and co-produced in hospitals up and down the country – is amazing.”

“It is a room you don’t see in most hospital’s and it makes people feel less institutionalised.”
