The report summarises all of the findings from the survey we undertook from April to June 2020 about the experiences of people in secure services during the pandemic. We received nearly 370 responses from people in services and their families and carers. As you’ll see, there was a lot of variation in experiences – we’ve grouped them into 9 themes and in the report we have key points for each, along with areas for further consideration for services. There are lots of quotes as we wanted to communicate people’s voices as much as possible.

The report so far has been very well received, by NHSE/I, who commissioned the work, through to services themselves. Our hope is that it brings the voice of lived experience to recovery and future planning as the pandemic continues.
