MDT refers to a Multi Disciplinary Team meeting, or Ward Round as some services call it. These are regular meetings that happen in services where everyone gets together to discuss, plan and review treatment goals and outcomes. This has not been a CQUIN area, however everyone in the Network felt that this was an area that they wanted to develop some standards around that were similar to the CPA standards. People described these meetings as being very inconsistent depending on which ward or which hospital they were in, and these standards aim to improve everyone’s experiences of these meetings. By following these standards service users have reported an increase in positive experiences of their care and treatment and better relationships with staff and their MDT.
