Hi all, my name is Sian

I’ve been with the Involvement Network team (for 2 days each week) since the end of April and so I thought it would be good to introduce myself and give you a little bit of information on who I am.

Hi all, my name is Sian

I’ve been with the Involvement Network team (for 2 days each week) since the end of April and so I thought it would be good to introduce myself and give you a little bit of information on who I am.

My most recent role was as an HR administrator, but I have worked in various roles within 3rd sector mental health services, LD and older people’s services… I really enjoy working with people and trying to make a difference in their lives! I have a diagnosis of Bipolar type 1 and spent time in a secure hospital some years ago. I know how vulnerable this made me feel, living with this experience has made me passionate about helping to increase awareness and trying to help improve things for other people in any small way I can. I’m delighted to be working with the Involvement Network.

My role title is Senior Administrative Assistant/Project Support and I’m currently working 2 days per week. My role will support the Network with many of the admin tasks for example creating the newsletters and “Ask the Network” Questions. I will support with the admin across all areas, I’ll bring enthusiasm and I’ll be very dedicated.

Thank you to everyone I’ve spoken with so far, you have all without exception been very friendly and welcoming. I’m looking forward to hopefully meeting more of you in the coming months.

In terms of more personal bits and pieces, I have many hobbies including:

Running…

Walking, with my husband but also with friends and dogs, I love dogs!

Walking at the beach

Indoor cycling using Zwift

Yoga

Meditation, mainly using the Headspace app

Baking and Cooking

Reading, mainly psychological thrillers and non-fiction

Art and painting… all art featured here is my own
